Hunters Safety Course
Saturday April 26 and Sunday April 27, 2008 — Join us as we team up with the Sporting Lands Alliance for our Annual Hunter Safety Class. The class will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday April 26 & 27, 2008. This class is open to students 10 and older. It is required for any hunter born after January 1, 1960 who has not previously completed a hunter safety program. We recommend that all hunters planning on traveling out of state complete the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Sponsored Class. This class satisfies the training requirements of many states that mandate class completion regardless of a hunter's age. There is no charge for this class. Lunch is available at the club each day for our normal charges, or feel free to brown bag it. Please call Leanne Nunley at (810) 664-4307 to make a reservation.

Sunday April 27, 2008 — Are you interested in earning your Michigan Concealed Pistol License? Hunters Creek Club is hosting a Michigan Concealed Pistol Class on April 27, 2008. The cost for the class is $140.00 per participant. This class also is available to those who need to renew their license. Cost for the renewal class is $90.00 per participant. This class will be held on April 27, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Sporting Clays League 2008 Sporting Clays League
THURSDAY May 1 - Spring is in the air! Time to break some clay targets during the Spring Sporting Clays League. League format will be as follows; 500 targets shot 100 per week, Participants will have until July 11 to register, Sign up fee for the league is $65.00 and includes the cost of the banquet, All targets will be $18.00 per 50 targets for league participants which also coverc the league and practice rounds for the duration of the league. there will be awards for top member, guest, lady and junior and Team Championship Awards for fiveman teams. Call Hunters Creek Club to register your team of five or Hunters Creek Club can place you on a team.

Sporting Clays League Tuesday Night Sporting Clays
TUESDAY May 6 - In the past, Hunters Creek Club has hosted ladies only shooting on Tuesday night. This year Hunters Creek Club has decided to shake up the traditional format. On Tuesdays members and their guests will be able to shoot until 8:00 p.m. Our on staff sharp shooter, Terry Reith will be on hand to assist the ladies, the novices, as well as the seasoned clay target shooters. The price for the evening will be $35.00 for 50 targets and $50.00 for 100 targets. The cost for ladies will be $25.00 for 50 targets and $40.00 for 100 targets. (These prices include hors d'oeurves.) After shooting, enjoy light hors d'oeurves. Please call ahead for reservations.

Horseback Ride
Saturday May 3, 2008 — Join us on May 3, 2008 for a western style horseback ride through the trails of the 1,020 acres that comprise the main farm of the club. The two hour trip will be guided by our resident wranglers. Enjoy breakfast before the 9 a.m. ride or a western style feed before or after the 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. afternoon rides. This is a popular event and each ride will accommodate 4 riders. Younger riders can take a spin on a pony around our parking lot for a taste of ranch life.

Clinton Valley Council Boys Scouts Sporting Clays Shoot
Thursday June 12, 2008 — The Clinton Valley Council Boys Scouts of America will be holding their annual Sporting Clays Shoot on June 12, 2008. Two flight times are available. Come out and enjoy a day of clay target shooting, great food, raffles, auctions and comaraderie. All proceeds from the shoot benefit the Clinton Valley Council Boy Scouts of America.

Sunday June 15, 2008 — Bring your dad or treat yourself on Father's Day with a delicious Bar-B-Q. Savor Chef Dave's Bar-B-Q as the meat comes fresh off the grill. There will be a hay wagon to take you through the fields and the usual club amenities will be available this day as well. The Bar-B-Q fires up at 11:30 a.m. The cost for the day is $48.00 for adults, $18.00 for children plus tax and gratuity. Children under 5 are free.

Friday August 8, 2008 — The Tall Pine Council Boy Scouts of America will be holding their annual Sporting Clays Fundraising Shoot on August 8, 2008. A Squad of five men, women or mixed is $900.00. An individual shooter is $180.00. The day includes 70 clay targets, lunch and dinner. Also try your luck at the side games on the course, raffles, and live and silent auctions. All proceeds from the shoot benefit Tall Pine Council Boy Scouts of America.

Southfield Fire Fighters Sporting Clays Shoot
Friday August 22, 2008 — The Southfield Firefighters will be holding their annual charity shoot on August 22, 2008. The day includes 50 clay targets, 12 gauge shells, lunch, dinner, door prizes, side events, a raffle and live and silent auctions. Register a squad of five or an individual shooter.
